Malady Bog was the eleventh sim to open in the estate on June 6th 2008. Malady Bog was considered a double prim sim; or a sim with a 2:1 prim bonus ratio. 512sqm of this sim yields 234 prims. Malady Bog was a class 5 sim. The land in this sim was not terra formable. Malady Bog makes use of a special tiling and texture system on the land developed by the Devs.

Sub-Theme and Role Play Information

Think of the darkest, most diseased, deadest swamp you can think of. Now put some mutant vegitation that thrives on the swamp itself in there. You'll have Malady Bog, and Bloodmoss Swamp. Malady Bog is composed of swampland, and as such most builds should either be heavily sunken buildings with vegitation overgrowth, tribal swamp huts, odd projects with catwalks, or small boats.

An imposing swamp west of The Wastelands had always been something of an issue for further western development. However the sturdy and resourceful survivors of Wastelands eventually began to set foot on the awkward ground and begin settling the muck and slime of the swamp. Favored by mutants and other pariahs, the bog was built up with scattered stilt houses ruined boats and other water friendly structures. If one could stand the flies, snakes, and stench, Malady Bog was something of an oasis in the burning desert to the "swamp rats" who lived there.

The plague-like conditions that did in Bloodmoss Swamp eventually overcame Malady Bog, displacing and scattering it's residents to the sands. Some swore off the swamp lands forever after that event. But some longed for the special way of life offered by the swamps and settled in what became know as Hambone Slough when Hambone Slash became over run.
