Ghasts
But I, that am not shaped for sportive tricks, Nor made to court an amorous looking-glass; I, that am rudely stamp'd, and want love's majesty To strut before a wanton ambling nymph; I, that am curtail'd of this fair proportion, Cheated of feature by dissembling nature, Deformed, unfinish'd, sent before my time Into this breathing world, scarce half made up, And that so lamely and unfashionable That dogs bark at me as I halt by them; Why, I, in this weak piping time of peace, Have no delight to pass away the time, Unless to spy my shadow in the sun And descant on mine own deformity: And therefore, since I cannot prove a lover, To entertain these fair well-spoken days, I am determined to prove a villain And hate the idle pleasures of these days. -- A scrap of paper found and deciphered in Fort Stygian. |
Most Ghasts were once Ghouls that could not tolerate the mental strain of being a Ghouls , and have thus gone insane. Other Ghasts are just "born" as Ghasts however, due to trauma before actually dying. Either way, Ghasts are remorseless, conniving, single minded killers. Physically, many Ghasts appear little different from Ghouls . They use this to their advantage by luring trusting prey into their traps. When a Ghast attacks, it's usually too late to defend yourself.
Ghasts normally feed on the flesh and blood of the living - the fresher the better. Unlike Ghouls, Ghasts feel more compelled to drink blood of any form than they are to drink water.
Abandoned buildings, caves, or the dwellings of previous victims are the typical homes of Ghasts. They prefer urban and populated areas where their deeds can go less noticed.
